Mobile Notary vs. Remote Online Notary

Not sure which service you need? Give us a call at 682-681-4814

Mobile Notary

A mobile notary travels to you for an in-person notarization. This is a convenient option when you prefer to meet face-to-face, have multiple signers, need service at a hospital or assisted-living facility, or have a document that needs to be handled in person.

Remote Online Notary (RON)

With Remote Online Notarization, eligible documents can be notarized online using secure audio-video technology. You can complete the notarization remotely without meeting the notary in person.

Not every document or situation is appropriate for remote notarization, so contact us if you're unsure which option is best for your document.

Mobile Notary Pricing & Travel Fees

Mobile notary pricing can vary based on the number and type of notarial acts required, travel distance, appointment location, appointment time, and any additional services requested.

Texas regulates the maximum fees a notary may charge for notarial acts. Mobile appointments may also include a separate travel or convenience fee when applicable.

You'll receive pricing information for your requested service before your appointment is confirmed.

Mobile Notary Frequently Asked Questions

What identification do I need?

Signers should generally have an acceptable, unexpired government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, state identification card, or passport. If you don't have standard identification available, contact us before your appointment to discuss whether another identification method permitted under Texas law may apply.

Can a mobile notary come to a hospital or assisted-living facility?

Yes. Mobile appointments may be available at hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes, assisted-living communities, and other healthcare facilities.

The signer must be willing and able to communicate with the notary and meet the legal requirements for the requested notarization. Facility rules may also apply.

Can you notarize a Power of Attorney?

Yes, we frequently assist with notarization of Powers of Attorney. The document should be prepared before the appointment.

A notary verifies identity and performs the requested notarial act but does not provide legal advice or determine whether a particular Power of Attorney is appropriate for your situation.

Do all signers need to be present?

Any person whose signature is being notarized generally needs to personally appear before the notary as required for the particular notarial act.

If multiple people are signing your document, let us know when scheduling so we can confirm who needs to be present.

Do you offer same-day mobile notary appointments?

Same-day appointments may be available depending on location and scheduling. Call or text us for current availability.

Can you notarize documents that will be used outside the United States?

Yes. We can notarize eligible documents that will be used internationally, and Certified Notary Express also provides Texas and federal apostille services.

If your document requires an apostille, let us know before the notarization. Proper document preparation can help prevent unnecessary delays later in the apostille process.
